About Us

miND is a student-led initiative founded by the members of A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, created for the HOSA Community Awareness competition. Our mission is raise awareness about neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and highlight the powerful role that the arts can play in supporting motor and cognitive health.

We believe that through hands-on programs like arts and crafts workshops, music activities, and other presentations, we can help spread awareness and give residents ways to express themselves and connect with others.

Our team partners with senior living/memory care facilities to bring these activities directly to residents. Whether it be a painting prompt, playing a familiar song, or writing down shared memories, we believe that these small moments can have a large impact on someone’s day.

‍ ‍Through our work, we hope not only to educate our community about neurodegenerative diseases but also show that the arts can go hand in hand in improving quality of life.
